I know I don't normally post on the weekends, but this weekend is special. The 10th anniversary of 9/11. I can't believe it's been 10 whole years since that happened. I wish I was a better writer and could write a beautiful post thanking the average people who stepped up and turned into heroes that day and the days after. I'm just not eloquent like that.
I will say this though, I may not be so patriotic all the time, but that's because I take advantage of the blessings that we as a county have. Growing up in America, I don't see what it's like other places where they don't have the freedoms we have. Yes, there may be some controversy about it, but America was founded on Christian concepts, and God has blessed us as a nation for these many years. I'm a believer in everything happens for a reason, and I think this devastation happened for a reason. To bring us closer as a nation, to realize what we have and how blessed we are. To realize that any day could be our last, love each other, and help each other out.
Thank your family for raising you. Thank your friends for standing by you. Kiss your husband, your wife, your mom and dad. Kiss your kids and your grandparents. Be kind and genuine. Take each day one at a time and make life a masterpiece. Live for others, not yourself.
If you want to know my experience on 9/11/01, I typed it out last year, it's not as nicely written as I might have written it this year, but it gets the general experience across.

Tell me:
What was your experience on 9/11/01?
