I spent some serious thought about my hair after my
dilemma of the hair post and thought about what I wanted to do. After months of complaining about how long my hair was, and after our maternity pictures were taken, I decided to jump into the deep end and cut it all off!

I am seriously loving my short hair again. I was super anxious about cutting my hair since I'd been so used to it long for such a long time. I'm pretty sure I'll be spending the rest of my life growing my hair out and donating it, just because it was the only thing that motivated me to grow my hair out. My showers are shorter and it's so easy to take care of. I can still pull it back, kind of, and wear a headband which is packed in my hospital bag if I need it during labor/delivery if I want my hair out of my face.
I did mail my hair to locks of love, which is a controversial organization, but if they sell it to make money for wigs or use my hair for a wig, doesn't matter to me. I donated it so they could do what they want. Whatever they do is better than my 12 inches of hair getting tossed in the trash!

I'm so impressed with your big cut and donation. I think it's so admirable because it's not easy to cut off hair you've spent so much time growing. Plus, your new short do looks so good! :)

ReplyDeleteIn fact it might be long enough for me to do it again and lately i've been wanting to cut it. I tend to have it pulled back otherwise Little Isaac likes to pull on it. Or it gets in the way when we nurse.
I like the new cut! I could never get my hair long enough for locks of love.
ReplyDeleteI love your new haircut! My pregnant cousin has curly hair like yours, and she is planning to do the exact same thing towards the end of her pregnancy because she says that she wants one thing that is easy. LOL
