Spring has sprung!

I'm making it official - spring is FINALLY here! That darn groundhog lied when he said that spring was coming early this year because it's just coming now! April 7th it finally looks like the temperature is going to be staying above 60 or so. Many now I can switch out my sweaters for my tank tops at last! You think?

Maybe I should wait.

The flowers are blooming, the grass is finally green. Well everywhere except for the yard behind our apartment, so I had to search for these daffodils to photograph since our grass is still yucky.

And might I add that the wasps were swarming around these babies, that's why it's not a very good picture. You should be lucky you're getting pictures of any flowers.

On the drive home it was that perfect mid 60s (although I could have gone a little warmer), and the sun was shining. A perfect day to put the windows down and blast the music. So I did just that!

Don't worry, I was parked in this picture.

Okay well maybe I just have to get through tomorrow and then it'll be spring. 48 tomorrow? Really, is that necessary? Sigh.

Oh, and you might notice that I finally got an iPhone! That's another selfish, materialistic thing to cross off my 101 in 1,001 list!

One last thing, I don't know if I've mentioned it on here at all, but I'm a federal employee (NPS), so all the talk of a shutdown directly affects me. Keep me in your prayers please, with all the money that we may or may not have to pay for taxes, we currently have no savings and don't have anything to fall back on. But it looks like a shutdown is imminent. I'll keep you all posted though, not that you won't know if you look at any major news website, listen to the radio or watch the news.

Hope you have a great evening!

  1. We're hoping that the shutdown doesn't happen either! No pay is no fun!

  2. I love Spring! It's my favourite time of the year :-) I also love my iPhone....the Runometer app is fab! It tells you distance, time, calories, map etc. I use it all the time :-)
